The clubs of Arabella Golf Mallorca and the entries of the Federación Balear de Golf (FBG) carry the autumn and winter season. Not every tournament is open to guests. Check the organiser's regulations before you book flights and hotel.

The FBG publishes its framework calendar late in the preceding year. The dates below rest on long-term contracts and fixed annual cycles. Treat them as planned until the organisers confirm them officially.

The Circuito Hexagonal runs from April to November on rotating courses, for example at Son Servera Golf Club or in Pula. Teams compete. You need an RFEG licence and a handicap up to 35.0. The entry fee is around €40 to €60 per player and round.

Rolex Challenge Tour Grand Final: Top Golf Without an Entry Fee

The Challenge Tour season finale stays in Mallorca until at least 2030. The partnership was extended by four years and the event runs under the name Road to Mallorca. The top 45 professionals of the season rankings play four days for 15 tour cards for the DP World Tour. As a spectator you walk the whole course for free. Amateurs can only play in the pro-am on the Tuesday or Wednesday before, and that requires a sponsor package.

WAGC Balearic Qualifier: Your Tournament as a Club Golfer

On 1 August 2027, Alcanada hosts the qualifier for the World Amateur Golfers Championship. You don't need club membership and you compete only against players in your handicap class. The start is at 9:30 a.m., usually as a shotgun start. Guests pay €130 to €195, members around €66 to €75.

Arabella Golf Marathon: 63 Holes in One Day

The start comes around 6:30 a.m. at sunrise, the finish at sunset. You play all four Arabella Golf Mallorca courses. Electric carts, refreshments on the course, medical support and the evening barbecue are included in the entry fee. The handicap limit is 28.0 for men and 36.0 for women. In July you need heat tolerance and fitness.

Inselradio Trophy and Mallorca Zeitung Trophy: Golf with a Gala

Both tournaments are open to every golfer with a valid handicap, usually up to HCP 36. The entry fee covers green fee, breakfast, a picnic on the course, a multi-course gala dinner, a raffle and a prize-giving with live music. Carts cost about €48 extra. Places often sell out months ahead.

Copa Baleares Masculina: Elite Amateurs

The field has 84 to 90 players. Places go by handicap to players from plus handicaps up to about HCP 1.5. The results count for the World Amateur Golf Ranking. For a club golfer, the Copa is a spectator event, but a rewarding one. Players tee off from about 8:30 a.m. from tees 1 and 10.

Lindner Mallorca Golf Trophy: Tournament and Hotel in One Package

Entering Tournaments in Mallorca: What You Need

Official FBG and RFEG competitions require a valid Spanish licence. It includes accident and liability insurance. Entries run through the Nextcaddy portal. The entry deadline is usually 10 to 14 days before the tournament starts.

You enter open club tournaments and sponsor tournaments directly with the club secretary's office. With a card from the DGV, ÖGV or Swiss Golf you can play if you prove your WHS index. If no day licence is part of the entry fee, you usually pay €1.50 to €3.00.

Choose your tournament first, then book flights and hotel. That way you avoid rebooking if a date moves.

The Courses: Character and Strategy

Every course demands a different game. Golf de Andratx in the south-west needs a different plan from a flat resort course because of its terrain and elevation changes. Note safe target zones and club distances in your practice round. Son Termes near the Tramuntana mountains lives on accuracy, sloping lies and course management. The driver is not the best choice on every par 4 there.

At Alcanada the wind plays a part. The coastal location and open sections change effective playing distances significantly. On windy days a low ball flight often matters more than maximum height. • Take the set no later than the day before and play a practice round or a range session.
• Check iron distances, driver flight and putter before it counts.
• Reserve early in peak season, for example for the Inselradio Trophy, the Marathon or Challenge Tour week. The minimum rental period is 2 days and you can book online for up to 21 days.

Planning a Tournament Trip for Groups

This order has proven its worth: confirm tournament and entry, then hotel and transfers, then practice round and tee times, and equipment last. With three or four players, luggage often decides the vehicle class. With rental sets the problem disappears. Companions play another course on tournament day and you meet at the hotel in the evening.

In summer, temperatures on inland courses such as Son Gual or Son Antem regularly exceed 35 degrees. Plan water, sun protection and early tee times.
