ONLINE BOOKING PROCESS

The following terms and conditions constitute the rental agreement (the “Agreement”) under which Rent2Play.Golf, a Palma de Mallorca limited liability company (“Company”) rents golf rental equipment (“Rental Equipment”) to you (“Hirer”).

We ask that you read our online booking conditions as well as our cancellation policy (see clause 8 below) as you will be asked to confirm that you have read and understood these before your booking can be confirmed.

Please note that Rent2play.Golf will charge your credit card for the amount due for the entire “Rental Period” (as defined below) when you make your booking. By accepting these Terms and Conditions, you also authorize Rent2play.Golf to charge your debit or credit card for late, lost, stolen, broken or unreturned equipment and for any other amounts payable under these Terms and Conditions. Please see clause 2 below for further details.

SECURITY COMPONENTS

Data Security

Rent2play.Golf is committed to protecting your personal and financial information. All transactions are processed through secure and encrypted payment gateways. Your credit card details are processed and stored in accordance with the highest standards of the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI-DSS).

Identity check

To ensure booking security and to prevent fraud, Rent2play.Golf requires you to present a valid photo ID and the credit card used to make the booking when collecting or delivering the equipment. This applies in particular to bookings where several sets of golf equipment have been ordered.

Insurance cover

Rent2play.golf offers an optional Golf Protect, which minimizes liability for damage or loss of the rented equipment (see clause 10 for details). This protection can be added during the booking process and provides additional security for your rental period.

Access Controls

To prevent unauthorised access to the equipment, each collection and return is documented by a Rent2play.Golf employee and the equipment is only released to the persons named in the booking.

Traceability

All rented equipment is fitted with GPS trackers to facilitate recovery in the event of loss or theft. Customers are informed of this and agree to the use of this technology by accepting these terms and conditions.

GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR RENTING FROM RENT2PLAY.GOLF

  1. DEFINITIONS

1.1 - “Equipment” means the golf equipment rented.

1.2 - “First Rental Day” and “Last Rental Day” means the first and last day, respectively, on which the Equipment is rented by you.

1.3 - “Rental Period” means the period during which the Equipment is rented, commencing on the First Rental Day and ending on the Last Rental Day.

     2 - PAYMENTS

2.1 - All rentals and purchases made through Rent2play.Golf will be processed with a valid payment card at the time of reservation. The renter hereby authorizes Rent2play.Golf to charge their payment card immediately and without notice for all amounts due as well as for late, lost, stolen, broken or unreturned equipment and for any other amounts payable under these terms and conditions.

  1. BOOKING RESTRICTIONS

3.1 - Booking date: Rent2play.Golf can accept bookings made up to 12 months in advance.

3.2 - Minimum rental period: The minimum rental period is 3 days.

3.3 - Maximum rental period: The maximum rental period is 8 weeks.

3.4 - Subject to availability: Rent2play.Golf will make every effort to provide you with the equipment you have ordered. However, due to unknown factors, such as equipment not returned on time, insufficient lead time, lost, broken or stolen equipment, all our equipment is subject to availability. If the equipment you require is not available, we will endeavour to replace it with equivalent equipment that serves the same purpose.

  1. DELIVERY AND COLLECTION

4.1 - Collection and return of the Equipment: The Equipment will be collected or delivered on the first rental day and collected or returned on the last rental day.

4.2 - Delivery. The rental equipment can be delivered to the following locations:

  1. If the Renter arranges delivery to a hotel with a reception desk, the delivery can be accepted by the hotel's reception desk and signed for on behalf of the Renter. Please note that the renter remains responsible for the equipment when arranging this type of delivery, even if it is delivered to the hotel reception.
  2. If the renter arranges delivery to a location other than a hotel with a reception (e.g. a home, airport, golf course), either the renter or another person must be present in person to receive and sign for the delivery. If neither the tenant nor another person is present at the specified location at the time of delivery, the delivery service will attempt delivery again after the tenant has called back. Please note that the Renter remains responsible for the associated costs if the Renter arranges for this type of delivery.

4.3 - Customers must be present and present their passport, credit card (for orders placed through intermediaries) and order confirmation number to release the clubs at our collection points.

  1. DUTIES

5.1 - Obligations of Rent2play.Golf:

  1. Provide the equipment on the first day of rental, subject to clause 3.4
  2. Ensure that the equipment is fit for purpose

5.2 - Your obligations:

  1. Pay the price set out in clause 6
  2. Not to use the Equipment carelessly

     iii. To give Rent2play.Golf the opportunity to inspect the equipment at any time.

  1. To allow any urgent repairs to the equipment
  2. To inform Rent2play.Golf immediately if there is a fault or defect
  3. To return the equipment in its original condition on the last day of hire

 5.3 - Repossession of the equipment: Rent2play.Golf reserves the right to reclaim or repossess the equipment if you fail to fulfill your obligations above or if the equipment appears to be abandoned. In the event of repossession, Rent2play.Golf reserves the right to charge your payment card for all or part of the rental period.

  1. PRICES

6.1 - All prices are as listed on the website and are subject to change without notice. Prices are guaranteed for the rental associated with the confirmed booking. Prices take into account all mandatory charges and include VAT or other local taxes.

6.2 - Additional fees may be charged in the following cases:

  1. Damage and theft: up to the replacement cost of the equipment.
  2. Failure to return the equipment: If for any reason you fail to return the equipment on the last day of the rental or after being requested to do so by Rent2play.Golf, your credit card will be charged the full amount of the manufacturer's replacement cost of the equipment, in addition to the charges for the rental period.

6.3 - For each delivery of one or more sets of clubs, a distance-based fee of between €10 and €30 will be charged, which will be displayed and calculated at the time of payment. This fee does not apply to locations in the immediate vicinity of the company headquarters.

  1. PAYMENT CARD

7.1 - Payment: Rent2play.Golf will charge your credit card for the amount due for the entire rental period when you make your online booking and by accepting these Terms and Conditions you hereby authorize this charge. In addition, you authorize Rent2play.Golf to charge your credit card for late, lost, stolen, broken or unreturned equipment in accordance with clause 6.2 and for any other amounts payable under these Terms and Conditions.

7.2 - Method of payment: Payment may be made by the following methods: “Mastercard” debit or credit card and “Visa” debit or credit card. Payment by any of these cards will be accepted in accordance with the limits approved by your card issuer.

  1. CHANGES TO THE BOOKING: CHANGE AND CANCELLATION POLICY

We know that travelling can be stressful and that things can change. To give you more flexibility, we are pleased to offer you the following cancellation policy.

8.0 - If you inform us more than 10 days in advance, we can cancel your booking in full and issue you with a voucher for the full value. The voucher can be redeemed at any other available time. Alternatively, you may receive a cash refund on the following basis:

8.1 - You can cancel this contract at any time by informing Rent2play.Golf by e-mail of your intention to cancel. The club rental can only be cancelled by e-mail. In the event of cancellations, the following cancellation policy applies:

A minimum fee of €10 per set will be charged for all cancellations. If cancelled less than 28 days before the pick-up date, a fee of 25% of the booking value will be charged. Cancellations with less than 14 days' notice will incur a charge of 50% of the booking value. For bookings cancelled less than 5 days but more than 48 hours before the pick-up date, a fee of 75% of the booking value will be charged. For bookings cancelled less than 48 hours before the pick-up date, no refund will be due. Our Online Cancellation Policy takes precedence over any other written rental agreement that may be signed at our locations.

8.2 - Unused booking: Equipment scheduled for collection will be held for 12 hours and then cancelled. If the golf equipment is not collected, there will be no refund and no change to the unused booking.

8.3 - Amendment of bookings and extension of rental period: We will do our best to accommodate any changes you wish to make to your booking, including any extensions to the rental period. However, please note that such changes are subject to availability, particularly if requested within 72 hours or less before the first day of the rental.

8.4 - The vouchers issued cannot be exchanged for cash.

  1. MISCELLANEOUS

9.1 - Nothing in these Terms and Conditions affects the statutory rights of any consumer or excludes or restricts liability for death or personal injury resulting from the negligence or fraud of Rent2play.Golf. You expressly acknowledge and agree that Rent2play.Golf, its employees or agents shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential or exemplary damages, including but not limited to: damages for loss of profits, goodwill, use, data or other intangible losses (even if Rent2play.Golf has been advised of the possibility of such damages) arising out of the online booking.

9.2 - Neither party is liable for the non-fulfilment of its contractual obligations caused by force majeure. Force majeure is any unavoidable or unforeseeable event, independent of the party affected by the force majeure, which prevents that party from fulfilling its obligations.

9.3 - You do not acquire any ownership or other interest in the Equipment.

  1. GOLF PROTECT - WAIVER OF DAMAGE/LOSS

If for any reason you do not return the equipment on the last day of rental or after being requested to do so by Rent2play.Golf, we will charge your credit card for the full amount of the replacement cost.

As Rent2play.Golf only provides original manufacturer's clubs, the replacement cost will be based on the manufacturer's suggested retail price for the equipment, in addition to the charges for the rental period.

If the “Golf Protect” has been purchased, the charge for damage will be reduced to zero provided the club head is returned undamaged (shaft damage only). If the club head is not returned, the equipment is considered lost/stolen. If a damaged club cannot be repaired, it is also considered lost/stolen and the payment card is automatically debited with the corresponding amount. Any damage to the club head will be assessed on a case-by-case basis. Misuse/neglect/abuse of the equipment is considered lost/stolen. If the GOLF PROTECT damage/loss waiver has been purchased, the charge for lost/stolen equipment will be reduced to the deductible for the club(s) involved. A full tariff for the excess is shown below.
